Fellow Gardeners:
Our garden is looking lovely thanks to your hard work in cleaning up plots and getting planted! The month of June will bring new and varied growth - more veggies and beautiful flowers (and not-to-be-forgotten weeds)!
Fellow Gardeners:
Our garden is looking lovely thanks to your hard work in cleaning up plots and getting planted! The month of June will bring new and varied growth - more veggies and beautiful flowers (and not-to-be-forgotten weeds)!
Here are some announcements and important dates:
1. June 12th - monthly clean-up starting at 10 AM (rain date June 13). This clean up day is very important as we want to be ready for the Garden Tour that will take place the following Saturday. We hope that all garden plots and borders will be looking their best for our visitors - please be sure to weed your garden and also the perimeter/walkway adjacent before June 19th.
2. June 19th - 10 AM to 4 PM - South End Garden Tour - visitors will be touring our garden, and we will need volunteers (at least two on duty at all times) to welcome people and sell SELROSLT T-shirts; please contact Niki (Nikidave@aol.com) if you are able to help out.
3. June 19th - 5 PM - Potluck Supper. The Membership Committee is planning our first social event for the season. Sign up sheet and info in the Gazebo. Please bring a dish, drink, and folding chair, if possible, and join the fun. Other events planned for this summer include High Tea in July and Pancake Breakfast in August.
4. Please remember to bring trash bags with you and remove all debris from the garden. We are no longer doing compost - each gardener is responsible for removal of waste items.
5. Also remember to lock the gate when you leave - the garden was recently found open with no garden member present. We have also had some plant thefts so please make sure you lock up if you are the last person to leave.
See you in the garden!
